Studio Policy

24-HOUR CANCELLATION POLICY.

Regardless of the circumstances, any private lessons not rescheduled a minimum of 24 hours before the start time will be charged at the full rate. In the event of late rescheduling (less than 24 hours notice), or a no-show, the full lesson fee will be forfeited.

LESSON FEES.

All lessons must be booked through the online booking system. Accepted payment methods include cash, bank transfer or card payment online. If you would like to pay via cash or bank transfer select ‘reserve without paying’ when checking out your lesson. If you choose to pay later you will need to reserve your lesson with a credit card which will only be charged if the lesson is not cancelled within the 24-hour cancellation policy or paid within 24 hours after the lesson takes place. Pre-paid fees are non-refundable but are able to be rescheduled at any time prior to the 24-hour deadline.

SICKNESS.

If you have even the slightest inkling that you might be sick, please do not attend an in-person lesson. A number of professional vocalists regularly attend lessons and their livelihood depends on their good health. If you think you are sick but feel well enough to sing please conduct your lesson online rather than in person. If you would rather reschedule your lesson due to sickness the 24-hour cancellation policy applies.

HOW TO OFFICIALLY CANCEL A LESSON.

Lessons can be rescheduled using the online booking system. To reschedule your class Click on the link titled ‘View appointments details’ found in your confirmation email. Next, click on Reschedule.

TEACHER CANCELLATION.

Whilst all efforts are made to avoid teacher cancellations, there may be occasions where I need to lecture, record, or perform at short notice. On such an occasion, a make-up lesson may be booked at a mutually convenient time.

REGULAR RECURRING LESSONS.

Recurring lesson timeslots will repeat weekly or bi-weekly on the same day and time until the student asks to discontinue the timeslot. Rescheduling one or several lessons means only those lessons are altered, and the regular lesson schedule will continue automatically after. The student is responsible to pay for and attend all lessons not rescheduled before the 24-hour deadline.

EXPIRY DATES.

All prepaid lesson credits have an expiration date:

• Lessons: 6 months from date of purchase.

• Packages: the following packages are currently available:

  • 5x Creativity Lessons = 2 months from date of purchase

  • 10x Creativity Lessons = 4 months from date of purchase

• Gift Certificates: 1 year from date of purchase.

PACKAGES.

The full amount must be paid upfront and is non-refundable. Partial refunds for unused lesson credits in a package are also not given. All lessons in the package must be used before they expire six months from the purchase date.

GIFT CERTIFICATES.

The full amount must be paid upfront and is non-refundable. Partial refunds for unused gifted lesson credits are also not given. All lessons included in the gift certificate must be used before they expire 1 year from the purchase date.

TARDINESS.

As a courtesy, please notify your instructor via text message if you will be late for your lesson. The time loss of your lesson will not be made up. If however you arrive on time and the lesson prior to yours runs a bit late, you will be given your full allotted time.

HOLIDAYS.

Prior notice will be given if the studio will be closed due to holidays or special events. Otherwise, please assume that the lessons are scheduled as normal. If you wish to move your lesson due to holidays (school, public, or otherwise), please see the 24-hour cancellation policy above.

OTHERS IN LESSONS.

It is recommended that all students attend their lessons unaccompanied. This encourages an open learning environment where students can feel safe to explore, create and make mistakes without feeling self-conscious or the need to be (in any way) perfect! If additional individuals need to be in the room for any reason an additional charge may apply. Please contact me directly to discuss any accompanying requirements.
